Common questions about features
Do I need special hardware?
No. StockMate runs in a modern web browser on a PC, laptop or tablet. Receipts print from the browser to any printer it can reach, and USB barcode scanners that type into the search box work.
Can I use more than one industry module?
Yes. Turn modules on and off from Settings whenever you like. Switching one off only hides its screens and fields — your data is kept.
Does StockMate work offline?
Not yet. StockMate is cloud based and needs an internet connection. If your connection drops, sales cannot be recorded until it returns.
Is my business data safe?
Passwords are stored hashed, traffic uses HTTPS and each business’s data is kept separate from everyone else’s. Data is stored in a managed cloud database. See our Privacy Policy for details.
